ADHD Coaching for Adults

Practical Support for Adult ADHD

Adult ADHD can affect far more than concentration. It can impact organisation, time management, emotional regulation, motivation, relationships, work, study and daily responsibilities. Many adults with ADHD describe feeling overwhelmed, inconsistent or frustrated with themselves, even when they are capable, intelligent and trying hard.

ADHD coaching offers practical, supportive and structured help for adults who want to better understand how ADHD affects their everyday life and develop strategies that feel realistic, personalised and manageable.

This service is not a diagnostic assessment and does not replace medical or psychiatric advice. It is designed to support adults who have ADHD traits, are awaiting assessment, have received a diagnosis, or are beginning to explore whether ADHD may be affecting them.

How ADHD May Show Up in Adult Life

ADHD can look different from person to person. You may notice difficulties with:

  • Time management and lateness

  • Procrastination and task avoidance

  • Starting tasks but struggling to finish them

  • Feeling overwhelmed by daily responsibilities

  • Forgetfulness or losing important items

  • Emotional sensitivity or rejection sensitivity

  • Impulsivity or difficulty pausing before responding

  • Disorganisation at home, work or study

  • Struggling with routines and consistency

  • Low motivation, even with important tasks

  • Difficulty prioritising or knowing where to begin

  • Burnout from masking, overcompensating or trying to keep up

Many adults with ADHD have spent years developing coping mechanisms to manage everyday demands. Some strategies may have helped in the short term but can also lead to anxiety, exhaustion, avoidance or self-criticism over time.

How ADHD Coaching Can Help

ADHD coaching focuses on practical change, self-understanding and building systems that work with your brain rather than against it. Together, we explore the areas of life that feel most difficult and begin creating manageable steps to support change.

ADHD coaching can help you to:

  • Understand your ADHD traits and patterns

  • Develop realistic routines and structure

  • Improve time management and planning

  • Break tasks into smaller, manageable steps

  • Reduce procrastination and avoidance

  • Create strategies for work, study or home life

  • Build confidence in decision-making

  • Manage overwhelm and emotional dysregulation

  • Improve communication in relationships

  • Develop kinder self-talk and reduce self-criticism

  • Strengthen accountability and follow-through

The aim is not to force you into systems that do not suit you, but to help you develop practical tools that feel achievable and sustainable.

A Supportive and Neurodivergent-Affirming Approach

Many adults with ADHD have been told they are lazy, careless, too sensitive, disorganised or not reaching their potential. ADHD coaching offers a different approach. Rather than focusing on blame or criticism, we look at how your brain processes motivation, attention, emotion and executive functioning.

Sessions are collaborative, compassionate and tailored to your individual needs. We may explore what is getting in the way, what has helped before, what has stopped working, and what small changes could make daily life feel more manageable.

ADHD coaching can also support you in understanding the emotional impact of living with undiagnosed or misunderstood ADHD, including anxiety, shame, frustration, burnout or feeling different from others.

Coaching Areas We Can Explore

Depending on your needs, sessions may focus on:

  • Planning and prioritising

  • Creating routines

  • Managing appointments and responsibilities

  • Reducing overwhelm

  • Improving organisation

  • Understanding motivation and task initiation

  • Managing emotional responses

  • Developing grounding techniques

  • Strengthening boundaries

  • Building confidence at work, study or home

  • Preparing for conversations with your GP, workplace or education provider

Each session is shaped around what feels most relevant and useful to you.

Important Note

ADHD coaching is not a formal ADHD diagnostic assessment. I do not diagnose ADHD or prescribe medication. If you are seeking a diagnosis, medication review or formal medical advice, you should speak with your GP, psychiatrist or a qualified ADHD assessment provider.

ADHD coaching can, however, support you in understanding your traits, developing practical strategies and building confidence while you explore the next steps that feel right for you.

Moving Forward

Living with ADHD can feel exhausting when you are constantly trying to fit into systems that do not work for you. With the right support, it is possible to better understand yourself, reduce overwhelm and create practical strategies that support everyday life.

You do not have to do everything alone, and you do not have to wait until things feel unmanageable before seeking support.

ADHD coaching can help you begin building structure, confidence and self-understanding in a way that works for you.

Sessions

ADHD coaching sessions are 50 minutes at a cost of £70.
